SHRINE DOWN THE HALL

What is a bedroom? A question that can end up to several answers. Some people may say that it is just a room in one’s house. However another group may say that it is a room that holds a personal bond with that person inhabiting that room. I personally define a bedroom as a personal place in one’s house that tells the personality of the individual.
My bedroom may be simple and small but tells the observer who I am. Instead of taking a picture of the complete room, I decided to take a picture of my desk. My desk is no ordinary one, it is one which I consider unique. In the center there is a PC, and on the top there is globe, a lamp, a clock and statues of my Hindu gods. . I share a special bond with my desk because this where my tutoring sessions, take place where I complete my homework, and most importantly where I pray every morning.
After I took this photo, I inverted the colors giving a 3D type of feeling. Next I fiddled around with the artistic portion of the project. I decided to sketch the picture where I contrasted the computer with the globe and lamp on the top making it clear. There were some things on my computer that I felt would distract the viewers from the actual theme, so I darkened it. Personally I feel that this piece is revealing a piece of my persoanlity The message I feel is reminding people that it is okay to feel isolated. I can say this Scanner Art tells viewers that even though I am outgoing, I prefer sometimes to be in the indoors and be with people that care about me the most.
I feel that this project is successful because I am presenting a piece of myself. Emphasizing the computer tells viewers that I love being on the computer whether it is for school related purposes or for time pass. Brightening the globe may spread the messages about my dream career, a foreign correspondent. Lastly by observing at the neatness of the computer and noticing how the Hindu Gods are ahead of the clock, one could say that this person is a studious student who has God on his back.
